I'm pleased to hear the dryer will be removed, but I'm hoping you'll also respond to the larger issues I raised in a long series of comments I made late last night on the earlier What Blight? photo posting.

I'm also hoping you will attend the April 5 meeting of the Grand Lake Community Council since complaints about Kwik Way and the Serenader will be on the agenda. This will give you an opportunity to respond in person to these issues.

Ken, Please let me know if these items aren't removed. Earlier I was confused on where these items were because from the initial pictures it looked like they were against the wall seperating Kwikway from Serenader. I should be able to attend the April 5th meeting. Please let me know the time. I'll look over your comments over the weekend and respond to them soon. I appreciate that you're willing to retract certain statements if we correct you on them. I have to back nearly 20 years of what I remember when I was in 7th grade and get my father's input on the comments you made. Although, I worked for my father on a temporary basis back then doing monthly stocking orders in the grocery store, I do remember a security guard caught a lady stealing and when he confronted her, she called her friends and they came into the stores with fully automatic sub machine guns, in broad day light. This was before the Crime Bill was introduced and you could buy an Israeli made Uzi Carbine over the counter at your local gunstore for about $200 and crack cocaine was at its peak. My family had front row seats of how Richmond and West Oakland were nearly destroyed by the violence in the 80's. My father worked hard day and night at Acorn, and sometimes we would wonder if he would ever make it home. Please realize my family was there for Oakland in its most hardest of times, when businesses/ residents were quick to pack up and leave. Alex Hahn is a visionary who saw Oakland's enormous potential for growth while other were packing their suitcases and blighted their properties even though they were major billion dollar corporations, that sold these unattractive properties to my father back in the late 80's early 90's. So I will go back in time and let you know what we've been through as a family. How my father reached out to the African American community of West Oakland by providing employment opportunities, even before the LA Riots and tensions that arose between Korean Americans and African Americans, during that era. Suprisingly after the 1992 riots our store was not damaged and the customers came back the next day.

Okay, we got the tires out. But Moses didn't get a truck big enough to get the dryer out yet. So I called my other friend and he thinks he could be able to remove the appliance to the junkyard by today or tomorrow.

We're pleased to hear that the tires and dryer have been removed, but there are a ton of other unresolved issues that have been raised repeatedly. You promised a response to my "Hahn Family's Fatburger in the Fire" article. Is that forthcoming? As you've noted, I've promised a printed retraction for any substantive allegations that you can demonstrate as being false. I also raised a host of issues about the Serenader and Kwik Way operations in my comment posted here on March 8. Are you going to reply to those? Ken

I think those photos are very relevant. They show typical conditions for the property and evidence contradictory statements by the Hahn's.

Tony, I removed them already and I didn't put them there in the first place. Why would I want to leave a laundry dryer on my own lot? So how's it contradictory when I already addressed the problem? The dryer and tires are at the junkyard not on my family's lot. If its no longer an issue, why do the pictures remain?
