Persimmon “figgy” pudding

I’ve never actually seen the “figgy pudding” mysteriously demanded in “We Wish You a Merry Christmas,” and I have no idea what it might be like. However, the first time I tasted this persimmon pudding recipe, I knew that this would play the part in my Christmases.
