A ceremony Saturday morning, March 3rd, at 11 AM will mark the renovation of the Lake Merritt Pergola.
The Pergola is located on El Embarcadero, directly opposite the Lakeview Branch Library, on the northeast end of Lake Merritt.
There will be a ribbon cutting and a special performance by the Oakland School for the Arts Choir. Refreshments will be served.
City officials will be joined by the project architects and historic preservationists.
The Pergola and Colonnade were contructed in 1913 and designed by architect Walter Reed.
