For folks who have been passing the corner of Mandana and Lakeshore for the last few months and wondering when construction would finish and our new L’Amyx Tea Shop would open, your cup will soon be running over.
Since the L’Amyx tea shop opened on Piedmont Avenue in 2000, it has been voted “Best of the Bay” by East Bay Express readers more than once. It’s been a bit of a journey for these tea entrepreneurs to convert a decorator’s shop and a former hair salon into a comfortable café, but it’s now fitted out with furniture imported from Italy and tea from their travels to many countries.
On Wednesday morning, February 7th, starting at 10 AM, they’ll be able to brew you a pot of one of the 80 varieties that they source themselves in addition to some delicious accompaniments.
Their grand opening will fall on Saturday, February 17th, on the Eve of Chinese New Year. They’ll start celebrating the holiday at 1 PM. Hope to see you there!
