The cold spell earlier this month has heavily impacted many of the growers at the Grand Lake Farmers Market and added to the uncertainties that face small, locally based farms. A set of 199 historic photos from collections of the Oakland Library, and including many of the Lake Merritt area, have been posted online at the Online Archive of California. The items cover 1842–1967, including maps, portaits, landscapes, and manuscripts.
